Bee Mine

Good afternoon! I decided to combine two of my favorite challenges, Terrific Tuesday Challenge and Throwback Thursday Challenge. The challenges are, Hearts Galore and a Bug Theme!

I created some Valentine's candy card/boxes for my son to hand out to his aunts, uncles and grandparents. Since my son is only 1 and doesn't go to school, I thought it would be nice to do something small for the family.

This is what I came up with.

The base of my card is size 6 1/2 x 3 and scored at 3 and 3 1/2. My bee was cut at 2 1/2 and the heart was cut at 3, both are from the Paisley Cricut Cartridge. I used a Stampin Up punch and Studio G Alphabet Set for my sentiment.

This is the inside of the card and of course the nuggets go inside the box.

I stamped some images from Limitless Labels from Papertrey Ink on some labels and wrapped them around some Hershey Nuggets! Mmmmm!

There are many tutorials on Hershey Nugget boxes, but I liked this one because it was just the size I needed. I got it from here, she has many great tutorials!

Well, I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

TTC - Rock Princess

Hi everyone! Hope your Saturday is fabulous! I decided to join the challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps-Terrific Tuesday Challenge! I currently don't own any of her stamps, but I will be purchasing some hopefully by next week! If you have never seen her stamps, go check them out here, they are fabulous!! Her challenge this week was to use the Rock Princess cartridge, I don't own this cartridge, but you can still play if you use a similar cut.

I decided to make a card for a precious little girl from my church. She was diagnosed with epilepsy and had her first surgery this past Thursday. She ROCKED her surgery and came out a HUGE STAR!! We love her and will continue to pray for her!

Hannah Montana Cartridge was the cartridge that I used to make her card.

Here it is...

The STARS (pg 69) were cut at 3.50, 3, 2

ROCK (letters were welded together) at 1.25

MCT-Throwback Thursday Challenge

Good afternoon! Today I am going to share a project that I made for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge!
This is her challenge: "This challenge is a SPORTS CHALLENGE! Use any sports cartridge you have & if you don't own any sports theme carts, just use anything you have & just make sure it has something to do w/sports!:) ***Make a card, layout or anything you want!!"

I decided to make a goody bag for a friend of the family who "Lives, Breathes, and Eats Baseball"...lol! This is his first year in college and his first baseball game is coming up. So I thought it would be nice to fill it up with some seeds, gum, and a sports drink. I tried to keep it simple (because he is a guy...lol) and I really like the way it turned out!

Here it is:

Using "Sports Mania Cricut Cartridge", Baseball is life was cut at 3 1/2 inches and the baseball border was cut at 1 1/2  inches. Since the baseball border didn't have a shadow feature, I used my gypsy to hide the threads of the baseball and cute that one in red and just cut another border out in white without hiding the threads.

If it's noticeable, I sponged the edges of the baseballs to help them look a little distressed. I like to do that anytime that I have white card stock against kraft!

To give it more interest I added a few details on my font. I think adding this added a whole lot and made it look even better...lol!

On the back of the goody bag, I just placed his number. I used "Boys will be Boys" for the #5 and had it cut at 4 1/2 inches. I think I might even add a tag to the handles of the bag and stamp good luck on it, I don't know yet!

Well I hope you like it and good luck to all the ladies that participated in MCT Challenge!

Supplies:
Cricut Cartridges: Sports Mania, Boys will be Boys

Precious Girl

This is a card that I made when Scrappy Moms Stamps was having a call for her design team.  I chose to create a card for a baby girl.  I used Storybook for the card base (weld two images at 6.75) and I cut another at 6 (polka dot pattern paper)  and Nursery Rhymes for the font (all cut at 5). I cut the font twice, once with the pink paper and another with the pattern paper. I then trimmed off "Precious" from the pattern paper and glued it to the pink paper. Well here is the card, hope you like it!

Supplies:
Cricut Cartridges: Nursery Rhymes, Storybook
Stampin Up: Crushed Curry, Pixie Pink (card stock)
The Paper Studio: Jung-a-Low, Bung-a-Low BABY (all pattern card stock)
Ink: Crushed Curry (SU), Staz On-Jet Black
Stamp: All night media-Woodgrain, Fabulous Phrases (SU)
Flowers: Prima Market-Summer Fun
Popdots
Brads

My Pinkalicious Blog Hop

Good morning everyone! I have decided to join the blog hop over at The Pink Stamper's Blog. The challenge is to show our style making our favorite thing!  It could be our favorite color combo, our favorite Cricut cartridge, or our favorite technique. Just to have some fun and with kind of stress! Doesn't this sound fun!! Go on over to her blog to join the fun and to enter in her fabulous giveaway!

Recently, I have fallen in love with creating my own pattern paper using stamps.  I have seen it a lot, but never done it.  I really like the way my cards turn out using this technique, in my opinion it adds so much! I also tried challenging myself by NOT using my cricut and just a few current products! WHAT?!?!? I LOVE my cricut, but I LOVE my stamps too. I have so many other cutting systems and inks that I love, but just haven't used them in such a long time and thought that this would be a great time to dust them off and bring them out!

So here it is...

To cut the ovals out, I used the oval template from the coluzzle. No worries if you don't have this I'm pretty sure you have an oval cut out in one of those cricut cartridges you own...lol! I stamped the sewing machine with StazOn ink and used a craft knife to cut it out. The pink rectangle are measured at 1.75 by 4 and the white piece measures 1.5 by 3.75.

With this sentiment (in which I love) the yellow piece was cut at 2.25 by 1 and the white was cut at 2 1/8 by 7/8.

Supplies:
Cuttlebug
StazOn: Jet Black
Ribbon: Scraps
Stamp: TPC Studio- Sewing
Stampin Up: Coluzzle Cutting System
Inks: Stampin Up- Bermuda Bay, Pink Passion
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders: Swiss Dots, Perfectly Paisley
Stampin UP Markers: Crushed Curry, Pink Passion, Bermuda Bay
Card Stock: Craft-Recollection, White-Stampin Up, Pink and Yellow- Scraps
