Designer Challenge with MCT

Good afternoon, I decided to join the MCT team challenge. The challenge was to incorporate fabric and stitches to your project. I previously made a small gift for my mom and thought about maybe adding a card to match.  I decided to use a die set and stamp from MCT. Both die sets have beautiful stitches so all I really needed to add was the fabric!  It was very easy and fast to put together, absolutley love the dies and stamp sets!

Here is my card along with the envelope!

I cut my envelope with the MCT-3x3 Fancy Envelope Die using Close to My Heart Flirty Paper. The stamp set used was MCT-So Grateful For You. Finally just added some ribbon on the front and a rose on the back to finish the envelope.

                                                       Front                                                        Back

I kept my card pretty simple. It's also from MCT-Card Sentiments with 3x3 Fancy Tri-fold Card (the coordinating card for the envelope die). All I did was add a wooden tree from Close to My Heart. Really super simply, but super cute!

Hope you enjoyed!

Simple Christmas Card

Good afternoon, today I have a very simple Christmas card! I like the idea of a simple card making because they are fast and easy and you can make tons of them! I used the Close to My Heart Pear & Partridge Cardmaking Kit along with some Cashmere cardstock.

I actually made my card to measure 4x11 so that I could get 3 base cards out of one 12x12 cashmere cardstock. The pattern paper measures at 4x2, Cocoa measures at 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and Colonial White measures at 2 1/2 x 2 1/2. I also used 4 small red glitter gems and the stamp from the kit (the ribbon is from my scraps). I used the Cashmere Ink Pad for my inked image.

You could always add more to the card. Maybe create a background on the base of the card or simply make the words "A Merry Little" a different color. I just wanted to keep it simple in case someone needed an idea for a mass produce card using this fabulous paper!

So Thankful for...

Hi, today I have a little project that I made for my beautiful mom! Just wanted to let her know how much I  love her and how much I'm thankful to have her in my life!

I used the Close to My Heart- Artiste Cartridge for the box, paper fan, banners and the flowers and A Friend Like you stamp set. All of the paper with the exception of the darker shade of pink and the green is from the Flirty Paper Packet, Close to My Heart.

For this project I purchased a 4x6 acrylic frame and glued a  post-it pad. Cut a 4x6 paper using the same designer paper, added some ribbon, roses and a matching pen to finish the project. If you have any questions regarding the projects, please feel to ask!

Hope you enjoyed!

Designer Challenge with MCT

While trying to get caught up with reading some of my favorite blogs, I came across MCT Designer Challenge. The challenge was to create a large decorative tag, anything goes as long as it's 4x6 or larger and it includes My Creative Time stamp set and or dies in any way.

I am going to a baby shower this weekend and the theme is Texas Ranger Baseball. With that being said I knew exactly the stamp set that I was going to use, The Grand Slam Stamp Set. I used several cartridges for this project, the initials on the tag are the baby's. So here it is!

Tag cut at 7 inches with the Close to My Heart Artiste Cartridge
Glove cut at 3.75 inches with the Sports Mania Cartridge
Baseball cut at 2 inches with the Sports Mania Cartridge
Letters cut at 2 inches with the A Child's Year Cartridge
Banner (red) cut at 1 inch, (white) at 3/4 of an inch with the Close to My Heart Artiste Cartridge

Tags!

Hi, today I am showing a few more things that you can make using the Close to my Heart Artiste Cricut Cartridge along with the coordinating Very Merry Christmas (October Stamp set). Now keep in mind that if you spend $50.00 you can get this stamp set for just $5.00m (only until October 31). It truly is a must have stamp set!

I decided to make a few tags. I did the same cuts a few times and tried showing you a few ways that you could change the look just by adding layers, or if you like the simple look, you could just leave some layers out. You can use them ANY way you want. If you like to bake during the holidays you could wrap them around your baked good, stick them on top of jars (like I did...lol), embellishments or simply just use them as tags. Use your imagination!

Using the Artiste Cartridge, (pg 50) I cut the brown out at 1 1/4, the green (pg 79) at 2 and the stamped piece at 1 3/4. Real super easy and then embellished it a little! Could be used as a tag or wrapped around a jar.

All I did here was to add another bow to add more dimension. Really love this look! I cut this out from pg.55 at 7 1/2. It looks super cute on top of the jar!

If you are looking for less, this look is really nice too, all I did was remove the brown fan. Still super cute!

This is a whole different tag (pg. 35) I cut the designer paper at 3 1/2 and the green at 3. I placed the tag with some non permanent tape so it could easily be removed and be used as a Christmas gift tag, if the persons receiving this gift would like to use it.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Bee Mine

Good afternoon! I decided to combine two of my favorite challenges, Terrific Tuesday Challenge and Throwback Thursday Challenge. The challenges are, Hearts Galore and a Bug Theme!

I created some Valentine's candy card/boxes for my son to hand out to his aunts, uncles and grandparents. Since my son is only 1 and doesn't go to school, I thought it would be nice to do something small for the family.

This is what I came up with.

The base of my card is size 6 1/2 x 3 and scored at 3 and 3 1/2. My bee was cut at 2 1/2 and the heart was cut at 3, both are from the Paisley Cricut Cartridge. I used a Stampin Up punch and Studio G Alphabet Set for my sentiment.

This is the inside of the card and of course the nuggets go inside the box.

I stamped some images from Limitless Labels from Papertrey Ink on some labels and wrapped them around some Hershey Nuggets! Mmmmm!

There are many tutorials on Hershey Nugget boxes, but I liked this one because it was just the size I needed. I got it from here, she has many great tutorials!

Well, I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

Her challenge this week was to use the Rock Princess cartridge, I don't own this cartridge, but you can still play if you use a similar cut.

I decided to make a card for a precious little girl from my church. She was diagnosed with epilepsy and had her first surgery this past Thursday. She ROCKED her surgery and came out a HUGE STAR!! We love her and will continue to pray for her!

MCT-Throwback Thursday Challenge

Good afternoon! Today I am going to share a project that I made for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge!
This is her challenge: "This challenge is a SPORTS CHALLENGE! Use any sports cartridge you have & if you don't own any sports theme carts, just use anything you have & just make sure it has something to do w/sports!:) ***Make a card, layout or anything you want!!"

I decided to make a goody bag for a friend of the family who "Lives, Breathes, and Eats Baseball"...lol! This is his first year in college and his first baseball game is coming up. So I thought it would be nice to fill it up with some seeds, gum, and a sports drink. I tried to keep it simple (because he is a guy...lol) and I really like the way it turned out!

Here it is:

Using "Sports Mania Cricut Cartridge", Baseball is life was cut at 3 1/2 inches and the baseball border was cut at 1 1/2  inches. Since the baseball border didn't have a shadow feature, I used my gypsy to hide the threads of the baseball and cute that one in red and just cut another border out in white without hiding the threads.

If it's noticeable, I sponged the edges of the baseballs to help them look a little distressed. I like to do that anytime that I have white card stock against kraft!

To give it more interest I added a few details on my font. I think adding this added a whole lot and made it look even better...lol!

On the back of the goody bag, I just placed his number. I used "Boys will be Boys" for the #5 and had it cut at 4 1/2 inches. I think I might even add a tag to the handles of the bag and stamp good luck on it, I don't know yet!

Well I hope you like it and good luck to all the ladies that participated in MCT Challenge!

Supplies:
Cricut Cartridges: Sports Mania, Boys will be Boys
Card Stock: Recollections
Kraft Bag: Michael's Craft Store
