FlairTastic Friday

Hi friends! So HAPPY you have stopped by!

The Crafty Pickle has a fun new blog feature in which we are showing a fun way to use some awesome flair! So with that being said our first feature is "Gifts"!

There are many ways of using flair when you are gift wrapping a present. Maybe like using it as an embellishment on a tag or simply using it to embellish your focal point, for instance like I did. In this case I wanted to make my flair the focal point and personalize it with a small sentiment!

I simply took some Black StazOn ink and stamped a sentiment on my Yellow Patterned Flair to customize it! That's the beauty of these Color Pop Flair, they have a beautiful background and you can stamp anything you like on them to fit your projects!

I also used the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge to cut out my cute little box from some Cashmere Cardstock and my flower using Gypsy and Pear Cardstock . I used the Countdown stamp set to stamp my background on my box, some Thistle Extra Thick Twine to wrap around and some sequins from the Spring Fling mix to finish off my card!

Thanks again for stopping by, have a fabulous day and weekend!

"World's Greatest Dad"

Happy Friday, thank you so much for stopping by! With Father's Day just a few days away, I decided to share a special "Dad" card with you!

Here it is...

I kept it super simple. I started off by cutting 3 tie's using the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge out of some CTMH White Daisy card stock with my cricut. I then stamped a coordinating tie image from the Perfect Fit-Dad Holiday stamp set with some Lagoon and Honey Ink.

Using the same stamp set I stamped "World's Greatest" on a 2 inch circle piece of vellum with some Versa Mark and used some black embossing powder and then placed a flair from TCP Family themed flair set right in the center. I finished the card by adding some foam adhesive to the tie's and drew a white square to add a little something.

Hope you enjoyed today's card, and as always thanks for stopping by and have a FABULOUS day!

Hi, and thank you so much for joining us!

When I received my kit, I absolutely feel in love with the colors and embellishments.  Within my kit, I received an awesome Memory Protectors Flip Flaps 3x4 and after looking at it I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for...

I turned the protector into a gift card holder/shaker! I cut a piece of vellum a bit smaller than my Memory Protector and placed some scor tape to the top. I then carefully slid the vellum piece into the protector and carfeully placed some Butterfly Kisses and Spring Fling sequins inside and then sealed it down. This helped with keeping the sequins from falling out and still left an open seal to place my gift card on the other side.

(this is the back of the Memory Protector Flip Flap)

The other great thing about the Memory Protectors Flip Flaps 3x4 is that they come with an adhesive strip.

Now onto my next project.

I started with cutting some tags out of some White Daisy card stock with my cricut and the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. I then took some CTMH Slate Ink to stamp my sentiment to all of my tags with the You Mean the World to Me stamp set. On 2 of the tags I stamped a border from the One-Way Borders stamp set to add a little design with some CTMH Pear Ink.

I simply continued with cutting different sizes of paper strips from different patterns using the Blossom Paper Pack, added some Glacier Extra Thick Twine and finished them off by adding some embellishments using Spring flair and  Butterfly Kisses sequins.

Hope you are leaving inspired and once again thanks for visiting.
Next up on the blog hop is Kristin!

If you get lost along the way here is the order of the hop.

And don’t forget to go back to The Crafty Pickle blog when you’re done and comment there too! That’s chances to win!

Distress Ink Blending Birthday Card

Hi and Happy Friday!

Today I have a birthday card to share with you. I haven't used my distress inks in a while and thought I should put them to use.

Here is today's card...

First, I stamped the Neat & Tangle Tiny Triangles with some Versa Mark and added some white embossing powder to heat emboss my image.  I then took some Distress Inks in colors Crushed Olive and Tumbled Glass and blended them together. I decided to take some clear acetate to stamp my sentiment using the Avery Elle Number Balloons and carefully glued it on top of my background.

I took a slightly larger piece of black card stock to help border my front panel and then took some watercolor paint in black to "splash" some on my card base. I finished it off my adding some We R Memory Keepers Enamel Shapes, twine and foam adhesive to my front panel.

Hope you enjoyed today's card! Thank you so much for stopping by, have a FABULOUS weekend!
